Meera Lakhani

Educational and Developmental Psychology


Meera is a general psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and is currently completing her endorsement in the area of Educational and Developmental Psychology. She is a warm and empathetic Psychologist, with experience supporting clients across the lifespan who are suffering from anxiety and other mental health difficulties. She has worked across a variety of settings including university psychology clinics, private practices, public hospital psychology services, schools and rural towns within Queensland. Meera specifically enjoys working with adolescents, young adults and their families. Meera has a passion for early intervention and often utilises attachment theory within her psychological practice. She also uses evidence-based therapies such as CBT and ACT. Meera has experience conducting a range of assessments for individuals across the lifespan. These are inclusive of cognitive, learning, attention and concentration and autism assessments. Meera is trained in the use of the ADOS-2. Meera works closely with her clients to understand their goals before creating a plan to achieve their goals. Meera works in conjunction with her clients to help them identify areas of strength and difficulty and often collaborates with any relevant stakeholders, to maximise positive outcomes for her clients.
