Sean is a Registered Psychologist registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). He has experience working with a diverse range of clients within schools, university, and private practice. He is especially passionate about helping people transform their lives through the exploration of personal values and development of flexible thinking styles.
Sean’s therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He is a person-centred practitioner, tailoring treatment to suit the unique challenges, strengths, preferences, and goals of the individual.
Sean understands that while some clients respond well to highly structured and goal-directed therapy, others prefer a more reflective, supportive approach to explore their thoughts and feelings. He treats his clients with respect, empathy, and autonomy in mind, providing a warm, engaging, and non-judgemental therapeutic space. When working with children, he adopts a play-based approach, using humour and games to engage and support young clients towards their therapeutic goals.
Sean is skilled in psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental assessment, including the diagnosis of ADHD, giftedness, intellectual disability, and specific learning disorders (e.g. dyslexia, dyscalculia). He can produce reports for individuals, families, and NDIS to support his clients in understanding themselves and gaining access to helpful supports and accommodations in their everyday life.
