Shannon is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency and a member of the Australian Psychological Society. She has completed her Master of Clinical Psychology and is working towards her clinical endorsement. Her strengths-based approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, empathetic and non-judgmental, as she strives to create a space where clients experience validation and safety. She recognises that while embracing our vulnerabilities can feel uncomfortable, it can also be the beginning of healing, restoration and hope.
Shannon has experience working in a variety of settings such as residential mental health care, school outreach and private practice. She has worked with clients across the lifespan who experience difficulties, including anxiety and mood disorders, stress, low self-esteem, anger, trauma re-experiencing, personality complexities, eating disorders and body image issues. Shannon utilises evidence-based practice to ensure each client receives treatment tailored to their clinical goals and individual needs. She specifically draws upon therapeutic frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy and mindfulness-based approaches.
