Anxiety House Southside: Tuesday, Thursday
Tegan is a generally registered Psychologist who is currently completing her area of practice endorsement in Educational and Developmental Psychology. She is a warm and genuine therapist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. Tegan provides therapy that is comfortable, accessible, and tailored to the communication needs of her clients. She works primarily from an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) framework, but integrates other modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT-informed) as needed.
Tegan has worked in private practice, public mental health services, and community organisations. She has experience supporting clients with a variety of mood, anxiety, behavioural, learning, and relational difficulties. Tegan is skilled in supporting young people who are engaging in high risk behaviours, and who are exhibiting school avoidance. She also has an interest in working with neurodivergent young people and their families. Tegan works systemically in her practice, and integrates caregivers, schools, and other allied health professionals into the treatment process to ensure the best outcomes for her clients.
She is experienced in conducting psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental assessments to explore Autism, ADHD, and learning differences (e.g., Specific Learning Disorders, Giftedness, Intellectual Disability). Tegan can produce assessment reports for NDIS purposes. She is passionate about advocating for her clients, and feels that self-understanding can be a very powerful tool in therapy.
